Tom Hayden

Tom Hayden is a theoretical computer scientist at Northwestern University. He grew up in Troy, Michigan a suburb of Detroit. He has a Bachelors in Telecommunications, Information Studies and Media from Michigan State University and a Masters of Science in Information from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His research focuses around the study of social networks, working to develop a better understanding of the complex relationship between computers, people, and organizations. Currently, he is working on designing algorithms and techniques for tracking objects moving in a network, such as cars, in a database.

In his spare time, he enjoys reading, jogging in 5k races, curling, and following sports teams from Detroit.
