Aaron Oppenheimer

Aaron Oppenheimer is starting his third year pursuing a PhD in the department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Northwestern. Inspired to 'build better humans,' his research draws heavily upon the burgeoning field of systems biology with a strong focus on the well-founded concepts in control theory. He hopes to elucidate the tunable nature of an immune response to allow for it to fight cancer in the same fashion that it battles the flu. When he's out of the lab, he plays with the Evanston Symphony, or relaxes with geometric origami models.
