Adam Dempsey

Adam is a third year PhD student in Physics & Astronomy. His research is in computational astrophysics where he uses Northwestern’s Quest computing cluster to study the properties of convection as well as planet-disk interactions. He is originally from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago and received undergraduate degrees in both Physics and Astronomy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. During my time as a Reach for the Stars GK12 fellow, I developed a set of resources that introduce Python to high school students, within the context of a high school physics curriculum.
